The ambi, or mango motif, is one of the oldest ornaments in Indian silver — and here it does all the work. Each charm is cast with a small flower at its heart, a fine beaded outline, and an oxidised finish that settles into the detail so the pattern stands out against the brightness of the silver.

The charms hang from a slim chain of alternating concentric roundels and open flower rosettes, so the payal stays light on the foot and swings freely rather than sitting stiff. At 35 g each, this is an everyday pair — comfortable enough to wear through a full day, pretty enough for a function.

Both anklets close with a traditional S-hook, the same simple hook-and-ring fastening used on classic payal for generations. It's quick to put on single-handed and easy to open — no tiny clasp to fight with.

Made in 925 sterling silver by our own karigars, from a design by Poonam Gupta for SILVY by GemKrishna. Wears beautifully with sarees, lehengas, kurtas and Indo-western pieces alike, and layers well over jeans if you want just one small traditional note.

Fit

25 cm total length, measured end to end along the payal. Sits well on ankles measuring approximately 20–23 cm, with enough ease for the charms to move. To check your size, wrap a measuring tape around the ankle bone and add 2 cm. We can make this design to any length you need.
