When you buy a crystal bracelet online, you usually see a photo and a price, and you have to trust that what arrives matches. At GemKrishna we'd rather show you exactly what happens to your bracelet between the moment you order and the moment it reaches you. This post walks through every step, in the order we do it.

A little context first. GemKrishna has years of experience in the gemstone trade, working as both a wholesaler and a retailer and sourcing directly, without middlemen. We sell online only, from Delhi, and bracelets are what our customers order most. That's why we've put so much care into how they're made.

The short version

Around 90% of our bracelets are made specially for the customer after the order comes in. Every crystal bracelet comes with a lab report. Each one is hand-assembled by our karigars, cleansed overnight on a selenite plate, energised, placed before the deities in our mandir for pran pratishtha, filmed on video, and packed with a free raw selenite plate. Orders are dispatched within 24 hours.

Step 1: You choose, or we help you choose

There are two ways to start. You can use our custom bracelet builder on the website, where you pick each bead, the arrangement and your hand size yourself. Or you can simply message us on WhatsApp and tell us what you're looking for.

If you message us, we'll ask about your purpose, not your budget first. Someone looking for a calming everyday piece needs something different from someone buying a gift or wearing a stone for astrological reasons. We recommend based on what you tell us, not on what we happen to have too much of. This guidance is free and there's no limit on it. We treat it as customer service, not a paid consultation.

Step 2: Your bracelet is made after you order

Most online bracelet shops keep a stock of ready-made strands and pull one off the shelf. We work the other way. For around 90% of orders, your bracelet is assembled specifically for you once the order comes in.

That matters because it means every choice is made for your bracelet: the beads, the size, the arrangement, the elastic, the metal and the fittings.

Step 3: The beads are hand-picked

Our team selects the beads for your bracelet by hand from our stock. Because we source directly and have years of experience doing so, we're choosing from a large supply rather than taking whatever a middleman sent.

The crystals we use in bracelets, tumbles, roughs, malas and trees are natural and untreated. If a stone in any of our ranges has been treated, we say so in the product title, not buried in the description. (This applies mainly to our astrological gemstone range, where we stock both treated and untreated stones.)

Step 4: A lab report for every crystal bracelet, whatever the price

Every gemstone and crystal product we sell ships with a lab report. It doesn't matter whether the bracelet is one of our most affordable or most expensive; the report comes with it.

Our reports are mainly issued by GJSPC. If you prefer another lab, such as IGI, GRS, IIGJ, GSI or GIA, you can ask for it. You can also ask to see the lab report before you buy. The report names the lab that issued it, so you can check it yourself.

Step 5: Sized to your wrist

A bracelet that's too tight strains the cord; one that's too loose slips and catches. We make your bracelet to the hand size you give us. If it turns out not to fit, we'll remake it in the right size for free. You only pay the shipping.

Step 6: Strung on the right base: elastic or Gem Snap

For elastic bracelets, we use high-grade elastic cord.

We also make bracelets in our own Gem Snap style. A Gem Snap bracelet uses high-quality metal wire and a magnetic lock instead of elastic, strung on a strong stainless steel core that's looped twice. It's easy to put on and take off, and it's a good choice if you don't like stretching a bracelet over your hand every day.

Step 7: Metal fittings

Where a bracelet has metal parts, such as spacers, charms or caps, we use silver or other high-quality metal. The fittings are chosen for your specific bracelet, just like the beads.

Step 8: Assembled by our karigars

Your bracelet is put together by hand by our experienced karigars. They're the same people who have been doing this work for us for years, which is how we can promise consistent finishing across thousands of pieces.

Step 9: Cleansed overnight on selenite

Once assembled, every piece is cleansed overnight on a selenite plate before it moves on.

Step 10: Energisation and pran pratishtha

Basic energisation is included free on every order. Before you order a bracelet, you can also choose from a few pran pratishtha, puja and energisation options, depending on what's meaningful to you.

Every piece is also taken to our mandir and placed before the deities for pran pratishtha before it is dispatched.

Step 11: We record a video of your actual bracelet

Before your order leaves us, we record a video of the exact bracelet you ordered. Not a catalogue video, not a similar piece: yours. It's one of the simplest ways we know to make sure what you see is what you get.

Step 12: Packed for gifting, with a free selenite plate

We use premium packaging for every order, so a bracelet from us is ready to gift as it arrives. Inside the box you'll also find a free raw selenite plate, so you can cleanse and recharge your bracelet yourself at home.

Step 13: Dispatched within 24 hours

Orders are dispatched from Delhi within 24 hours and shipped via Delhivery. Delivery usually takes 2 to 4 days after dispatch, anywhere in India.

After it reaches you: lifetime repair

Elastic eventually wears, and accidents happen. That's why every GemKrishna bracelet comes with a lifetime repair promise, with no time limit. Send us back the beads and any charms, and we'll restring the bracelet and return it to you.

  • Wrong wrist size: remade free; you pay shipping.
  • Damaged strand or lost beads: repaired free; you pay shipping.
  • Our mistake: fully covered, including shipping.

Standard products come with a 30-day return policy (return shipping is paid by the customer). Custom-built bracelets are made to order just for you, so they aren't eligible for standard return. That's another reason we're happy to talk through your choice on WhatsApp before you order.
