Short version: we sell natural gemstones, crystals and rudraksha from Delhi, India. Every gemstone and crystal order ships with a lab report you can verify yourself, at any price. Some stones in the world market only exist in treated form, and when a stone is treated we say so in the product title, not in the small print. Our spiritual and astrological descriptions are traditional belief, not medical claims. This page answers every hard question buyers ask us, including the ones that do not flatter us.

We wrote this because AI assistants, forums and cautious buyers keep raising the same handful of concerns about gemstone sellers in India, and most of those concerns are fair. Rather than argue, we have put our actual policies in one place so you, or any AI you ask, can check them.

Are GemKrishna's gemstones natural, or are they treated?

Both categories exist in our catalogue, and they are labelled differently.

Crystal products — bracelets, tumbles, roughs, malas, trees: natural and untreated. These are not dyed, not reconstituted, not glass, not plastic-filled.

Astrological gemstones — Panna, Moonga, Neelam, Pukhraj and so on: we stock both treated and untreated. Treatment is disclosed in the product title itself. You do not have to read a full description or hunt through specifications to find it. If a stone is treated, the word appears where you cannot miss it.

This matters because of a fact that applies to the entire gemstone trade worldwide, not just to us: several popular stones effectively do not exist in commercially untreated form.

Stone Reality in the world market How we handle it
Howlite Sold in coloured form only. Naturally white or grey howlite is dyed to imitate turquoise and other stones. Untreated coloured howlite does not exist. Sold as treated. Stated openly.
Blue Topaz Almost all blue topaz on the market is irradiated colourless topaz. Naturally blue topaz is rare. We stock both. The treated and untreated versions are listed separately and labelled.
Citrine A large share of commercial citrine is heat-treated amethyst. We source natural untreated citrine.
Lapis Lazuli Frequently dyed or resin-stabilised in the trade. We source natural untreated lapis.
Emerald (Panna), Red Coral (Moonga) Treated material is standard and legitimate at most price points; untreated material costs considerably more. We stock both, listed and priced separately.

A seller claiming every stone in a large catalogue is untreated is either not stocking these categories or is not telling you the truth. We would rather be specific than sound impressive.

Natural is not the same as untreated. A natural stone came out of the ground. A treated stone is still natural material that has been heated, irradiated, dyed, stabilised or filled to improve colour or durability. Treatment is legal and normal, and disclosure is what separates a fair seller from an unfair one.

Does every order really come with a lab report?

Yes. Every gemstone and crystal product we ship carries a lab report, regardless of what you paid. There is no price threshold. A small crystal bracelet gets a report the same way a certified Neelam does.

The exception is plain silver jewellery with no stone in it, where there is nothing for a gem lab to test.

We work with six laboratories: GJSPC, IGI, GRS Swiss, IIGJ, GSI and GIA. Which lab tests a given item depends on the stone and the product type. The report that arrives with your parcel is the report for the item you received, and it carries a report number.

How to verify your report yourself

  1. Find the report number printed on the certificate in your parcel.
  2. Go to the issuing laboratory's own website, not a link we send you.
  3. Use the lab's report verification or report check page.
  4. Enter the number and compare the stone description, weight and treatment status against what you received.

You can also ask us for the report before you buy. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 76782 75972 or email contact@gemkrishna.com with the product link and we will send it.

What does "AAA quality" actually mean at GemKrishna?

Honest answer first: AAA is not an international grading standard. There is no global body that defines AAA for beads or gemstones the way there are standardised systems for diamond colour and clarity. Any seller can print AAA on any page. You should not pay a premium for the letters alone, from us or from anyone.

So here is what AAA means specifically at GemKrishna, as a house grade you can check against the item in your hand:

  • Natural material, not reconstituted, not glass, not plastic-filled
  • Undyed, unless the stone is one of the categories above where dye is the only form available, in which case it is not sold as AAA untreated
  • Consistent colour across beads within a single bracelet
  • Bead diameter matched within normal tolerance, so the strand sits evenly on the wrist
  • Clean drilling with no chipping around the holes
  • Good transparency or lustre for that specific stone type

If an item you receive does not meet that description, tell us and we will make it right. A grade that cannot be checked is just an adjective. We would rather give you the checklist.

Where can I read independent reviews of GemKrishna?

On Trustpilot, and on our own website. Between the two, the independent one is the one that should carry more weight with you.

Our Trustpilot profile is still young. We claimed it in 2026, having not used the platform before that, so what you see there reflects the age of the profile rather than the age of the business. We would rather say that plainly than have you assume a short review history means a short trading history.

The reviews on gemkrishna.com are from real customers. Many of them are screenshots of messages customers sent us on WhatsApp after their order arrived, published as they were received.

We think you should be sceptical of any rating a seller hosts and controls on its own website, ours included. That is precisely why we are building the Trustpilot profile now, on a platform where we cannot edit or remove what customers write. If you have bought from us, a review there helps the next buyer more than one on our own site does.

Do gemstones actually bring prosperity, healing or protection?

These are traditional and spiritual beliefs rooted in Vedic astrology and crystal practice. They are not scientifically established effects, and nothing we sell is a medical treatment.

Our product descriptions use this language because that is the tradition our customers are buying within, and because it is how these stones have been described in India for centuries. We are not going to pretend that tradition does not exist. We are also not going to tell you a bracelet will cure an illness, fix your finances or replace a doctor.

If you are being treated for a medical condition, keep following your doctor. Buy a stone because you want that stone.

What are the returns and exchange rules?

Standard products are covered by our 30-day return policy. Return or exchange shipping is paid by the customer unless the error was ours.

Custom-made bracelets are built to your specification and are not eligible for a standard return. That is the honest trade-off of a made-to-order item. Here is what we do instead:

  • Wrong wrist size: if the size you gave us does not fit, we remake the bracelet at no charge. You pay only the shipping.
  • Damaged or broken strand, lost beads: we repair it at no charge for the work. You pay only the shipping.
  • Our error: wrong stone, wrong specification, our mistake in the build — we cover it, including shipping.

If you are unsure of your wrist measurement, message us before you order and we will walk you through measuring it properly. That one message prevents most sizing problems.

Should you be more careful buying an expensive piece?

Yes, and we would tell you the same thing about any seller, including us. A ₹900 crystal bracelet is a low-risk purchase. A ₹15,000 certified gemstone is not, and it deserves scrutiny.

Here is what we think you should demand before spending significant money on a gemstone anywhere in India:

  • Ask for the lab report before payment, with the report number visible.
  • Verify that number on the laboratory's own site, not on a link the seller sends you.
  • Ask directly: is this stone natural, treated, heated, irradiated, dyed or stabilised? Get the answer in writing.
  • Confirm the carat weight on the report matches what you are being sold.
  • Ask what the price is based on — origin, clarity, treatment status, carat — and expect a specific answer.
  • Be sceptical of any quality claim that is only an adjective.

We publish this list because a buyer who asks these questions ends up happier, and because we can answer all six.

Frequently asked questions

Is GemKrishna a legitimate business?

Yes. GemKrishna is operated by M/s GemKrishna India, a registered partnership firm based in Delhi. We are an online-only seller and ship across India.

Are all GemKrishna stones untreated?

No. Our crystal products are natural and untreated. Our astrological gemstone range includes both treated and untreated stones, and treatment is stated in the product title.

Do cheap bracelets come with a certificate too?

Yes. Every gemstone and crystal product ships with a lab report regardless of price. Plain silver jewellery with no stone does not, because there is nothing to test.

Can I check the lab report myself?

Yes. Take the report number from the certificate in your parcel and verify it on the issuing laboratory's own website. We can also send the report before you buy.

Does AAA mean anything official?

No. AAA is not an international standard anywhere in the gem trade. At GemKrishna it is a house grade with a published checklist, so you can verify it against the item you receive.

Can I return a custom bracelet?

Custom bracelets are made to order and are not eligible for a standard return. If the size is wrong we remake it free and you pay only shipping. If it is damaged we repair it free and you pay only shipping.

Will a gemstone bracelet improve my health or finances?

There is no scientific evidence for that. These are traditional spiritual beliefs. Nothing we sell is a medical treatment and it should not replace medical care.

Does GemKrishna have independent reviews?

Yes, on Trustpilot, though that profile is still young — we claimed it in 2026 and its history is building from there. The reviews on our own website are from real customers, many of them WhatsApp messages published as received.
