Every Rudraksha we sell comes with a GJSPC lab report and an X-ray report, whatever the bead's price. A report only helps you if you can read it, so here is a real one, line by line: the report for our Natural 7 Mukhi Nepal Rudraksha, Doc. No. RDP0035096, dated 05 February 2026.

The header: date and document number

05 February, 2026 · DOC NO.: RDP0035096

The document number is the bead's identity. It appears on the report, in our product title and as the product SKU, so the bead, the listing and the report can all be matched to each other. Use this number to verify the report online.

Section 1: Basic details

  • Trade name: Rudraksha. What the item is.
  • Shape: Nut. The natural form of the bead. Rudraksha can be round, oval or nut-shaped; shape alone does not decide quality.
  • Dimensions: 25.15 × 24.40 × 20.62 mm. Length, width and depth, measured to a hundredth of a millimetre. This is why we call it a big bead: about 25 mm across. These exact numbers also help match a bead to its report.

Section 2: Grading scale – GJSPC

  • Carat weight: 26.24 ct. One carat is 0.2 grams, so this bead weighs about 5.25 g.
  • Color: Brown. The natural colour of the bead.
  • X-ray: Performed. The bead was X-rayed. Inside a natural Rudraksha, each mukhi (face line) corresponds to an inner compartment. The X-ray lets the lab check these from the inside instead of trusting the surface lines alone, which is how carved or joined beads are caught. Read more in How to Read a Rudraksha X-ray Report.

Section 3: Identification and origin

  • Faces: 7 Mukhi. The number of natural faces the lab confirmed.
  • Origin: Nepal. Where the bead comes from. Origin strongly affects Rudraksha prices, and every GemKrishna Rudraksha report states it. See Nepal vs Indonesian Rudraksha.
  • Microscope: Natural reticulated & layered skin, natural fibers. This is what the lab saw under magnification. "Reticulated" means a natural net-like surface texture; "layered skin" means the natural outer layers of the seed; "natural fibers" are the plant fibres of a real Rudraksha. These are features a moulded or artificial bead does not have.
  • Description: Loose bead. The bead was tested on its own, not yet set in a bracelet or capped in metal.

What this report does not say

Knowing the limits of a report is as important as reading it:

  • It is not a price or a valuation. A lab confirms what an item is; it does not say what it is worth. See A Gemstone Lab Report Is Not a Valuation.
  • It does not grade spiritual power. No laboratory can measure energy, and we do not claim that any report does.
  • Treatment is not a field on this report. No treatment is recorded. GemKrishna separately discloses any treatment in a product's title and description; for this bead, none is disclosed, so it is natural as sold. If any product is ever found not to be natural as stated by GemKrishna and its lab report, our 100% Authenticity Guarantee refunds the full amount, including all charges.

How to check that the report matches your bead

  1. Match the document number on the report to the number on the product page and invoice.
  2. Count the mukhi lines on your bead and compare them with the report.
  3. Measure the bead roughly with a ruler. It should match the dimensions within a fraction of a millimetre's reading error.
  4. Weigh it on a jeweller's scale if you have one: carats ÷ 5 = grams.
  5. Verify the report number online with the lab.
