Most men buy one silver bracelet and wear it for years. Which makes it worth about ten minutes of thought — because the difference between a piece you keep and a piece that ends up in a drawer usually comes down to one number nobody tells you.

That number is grams. Get it right and everything else follows.

First order gets 10% off.

The short version

  • 23–45 g — comfortable daily wear, sits under a shirt cuff. Start here.
  • 60 g and up — real presence, and you will feel it all day. Some men want exactly that.
  • Under 20 g — usually hollow or thin-gauge. Dents and kinks.
  • Not sure of your wrist size? Every bracelet is made to order in any length.

Across our men's collection, pricing works out to roughly ₹510–₹590 per gram, whether the piece is 23 g or 82 g. The table below lets you check that yourself.

Why grams is the only honest comparison

Two bracelets both described as “men's 925 silver” can differ by a factor of seven in how much silver they actually contain. A hollow 15 g chain and a solid 80 g braided piece are not the same product, do not wear the same, and should not cost the same.

This is where online silver buying goes wrong. Fashion brands rarely publish weight, which makes their pieces impossible to compare on value — and hollow or thin-gauge construction is exactly what allows a men's bracelet to be sold suspiciously cheap. Hollow links dent, kink, and eventually split at the bend.

Divide price by grams. You get a figure you can compare against any seller, any day, against the silver rate. It is the single most useful thing a silver buyer can learn, and it takes five seconds.

Solid link bracelets, by weight

All solid 925 sterling silver. The per-gram column is our arithmetic from the two columns before it, so you can see the pricing is consistent rather than invented.

Bracelet Weight Price Per gram
Green Stone Curb Link 23 g ₹12,900 ₹561
Single Black Stone Chevron Link 24 g ₹13,500 ₹563
Twisted-Link Bracelet 42 g ₹23,199 ₹552
Green Stone Snake Scale 42 g ₹23,600 ₹562
Black Stone Byzantine Link 51 g ₹29,999 ₹588
Engraved Curb Link 53 g ₹29,700 ₹560
Double-Row Franco Link 56 g ₹31,400 ₹561
Foxtail Weave 58 g ₹29,600 ₹510
Braided Bracelet 64 g ₹35,199 ₹550
Multi-Row Braided 81.56 g ₹44,549 ₹546

Also in the range: the Byzantine Chain Bracelet at ₹89,999, our heaviest piece; the Double Lion-Head Bracelet at ₹25,299; and the CVD Diamond Multi-Row Bracelet at ₹22,999.

Silver moves daily, so treat the per-gram figures as a snapshot. What should stay constant is that the number is consistent across the range — if a seller's per-gram figure jumps around wildly between pieces, something other than silver is setting the price.

Which link style, and why it matters

Link style is not only looks. It decides how the bracelet bends, how it catches on a sleeve, and where it eventually fails.

  • Curb. Flat, twisted oval links. The classic. Lies flat, very hard to damage, easy to repair. If you have never owned a silver bracelet, start here.
  • Cuban. A heavier, tighter curb. More presence, more weight for the same length.
  • Byzantine. Dense interwoven links with a rope-like flow. The most labour to make, and the most comfortable heavy chain to wear because the weight distributes.
  • Franco. A tight V-shaped weave. Looks slim, weighs a lot, resists kinking better than most.
  • Foxtail. Angled links forming a braided plait. Smooth on the skin, good drape.
  • Braided and multi-row. Several strands worked together. Broad on the wrist without being clumsy.
  • Snake scale and chevron. Flat, overlapping, directional. Distinctive rather than traditional.

Turquoise (firoza) silver bracelets

Our largest sub-range, and largely unisex. Priced with the stone included, so the per-gram arithmetic above does not apply.

Bracelet Weight Price
Seven-Stone Turquoise 18.23 g ₹9,099
Nine-Stone Turquoise 18.20 g ₹9,099
Turquoise Bracelet 29 g ₹14,499
Turquoise Cuban 34.61 g ₹17,399
Matrix Turquoise Cuban 41.07 g ₹20,499
Oval Turquoise 41.88 g ₹20,999
Turquoise Oval 44 g ₹21,999
High-Dome Turquoise Cuban 46.44 g ₹22,999
Three-Stone Turquoise 52 g ₹25,999
Oval Turquoise, larger 54 g ₹26,999
Turquoise Cuban 55 g ₹27,499
Turquoise Cuban Chain 56 g ₹27,999
Large Matrix Turquoise Cuban 59.49 g ₹29,999
Matrix Turquoise 61.86 g ₹30,999

“Matrix” turquoise means the stone carries visible veining from the host rock. A natural feature, not a flaw — many buyers prefer it to a uniform stone.

How every piece is handled

  1. Any stone goes to the lab first. Identified, measured for dimensions and weight — individually, never sampled from a batch.
  2. It receives a report number unique to that one stone, printed on the listing so you can check it. You can verify a GJSPC report online yourself; we wrote a guide showing how.
  3. Where it applies, an X-ray is done as well — on rudraksha, that is how internal compartments are checked against the mukhi count.
  4. Then the bracelet is built around that specific stone, individually, in the length you asked for.

Six independent laboratories: GJSPC, IGI, GRS Swisslab, IIGJ, GSI and GIA. Treatment status is written into the product title, not buried in the description.

Purity and hallmarking

925 sterling silver is 92.5% silver. Most Silvy pieces are BIS hallmarked; where one is not, you can add Silver Hallmark (Tonch) for ₹249 before the order is placed, which adds up to two days.

This matters more on a bracelet than almost anything else, because of the weight involved. On a 60 g piece, the gap between 92.5% silver and a cheaper alloy is thousands of rupees. Silver hallmarking is voluntary in India, so a seller can legally sell unhallmarked silver of any purity and a “925” stamp applied by the seller proves nothing. Ask. There is more on this in our silver rings guide.

Sizing and custom work

Every Silvy bracelet can be made to order in any length, in a heavier or lighter gauge, handmade or cast, with gold plating, rhodium plating or plain silver. Turnaround is 6–7 days, priced as the day's silver rate plus making charges.

To measure: wrap a strip of paper around your wrist where the bracelet will sit, mark where it meets, measure the length. Add about 1.5 cm for a comfortable fit on a link bracelet, a little more for a heavy chain. If it comes out wrong we remake it and you pay only the shipping.

You can also send us your own stone to set — see our custom silver jewellery guide.

Silvy is designed by Poonam Gupta, who has 20+ years in jewellery design, and made by GemKrishna's own karigars — a large in-house team with 40+ years of experience.

Frequently asked questions

How much should a men's silver bracelet cost in India?

It depends almost entirely on weight. A solid 925 sterling silver bracelet is priced as the silver it contains plus making charges. Across GemKrishna's men's range, that works out to roughly ₹510–₹590 per gram. Divide any seller's price by the gram weight and compare.

How many grams should a men's silver bracelet be?

For comfortable daily wear under a sleeve, 23 to 45 grams. Above 60 grams the bracelet has noticeable presence and weight. Below about 20 grams a men's link bracelet is usually thin-gauge or hollow.

Is a cheap men's silver bracelet real silver?

Sometimes, but it is likely hollow or thin-gauge rather than solid. Because silver hallmarking is voluntary in India, purity is not guaranteed either. Ask for the gram weight and whether the piece is hallmarked before buying.

Which silver bracelet link is strongest?

Curb and Franco links resist kinking and bending best and are the easiest to repair. Byzantine is dense and durable and distributes weight comfortably, but costs more because of the labour involved.

Can I get a men's silver bracelet in my exact size?

Yes. Every Silvy bracelet is made to order in any length, in a heavier or lighter gauge, with a 6 to 7 day turnaround.

What is matrix turquoise?

Turquoise showing visible veining from the host rock it formed in. A natural characteristic rather than a defect, and many buyers prefer it to a uniform stone.

Why does my silver bracelet turn black?

Sterling silver tarnishes on contact with air, sweat and cosmetics. Normal and reversible. GemKrishna offers polishing and re-plating as after-sales.
